Michelle is truly one of the best tutors I have ever had. She's patient, kind, encouraging and has the best Organic Chemistry tips that help you master the information you will need to know to excel in the course. Before seeing Michelle, I really struggled to understand certain concepts in Organic Chemistry and it felt extremely overwhelming because I did not have a good experience taking the course originally. I wanted to make sure I did well retaking the accelerated class which was squeezed into 4 summer weeks instead of an entire semester. The tutoring sessions with Michelle helped build my confidence with my Ochem abilities. After each lesson, I would leave smiling because her thorough explanation of each of the concepts finally made sense to me and Ochem seemed less intimidating. She would also provide great worksheets that I would use as practice at the end of each lesson that helped identify areas of improvement and confirm the skills I had already mastered. Her excellent tutoring helped me excel on problem solving and exams and earn an A- in the class. I would highly recommend her for Organic Chemistry tutoring and as I go into Organic Chemistry II, I plan on having Michelle as a tutoring resource.

Organized, Thorough, Enthusiastic Tutor

Michelle is a fantastic organic chemistry tutor and, even more importantly, a truly exceptional educator. I had a two-year gap between orgo I and orgo II, so I came to Wyzant looking for an orgo II tutor who was knowledgeable and attentive to the limitations in my background knowledge of organic chemistry. I found that and more in Michelle. Not only was she gracious, kind, and funny, but also proactive in helping me regain my confidence in the subject. She sent me curated worksheets and review materials which helped me immensely in finding my footing in orgo II at the start of the semester. We laughed in every session, and she always found a way to make me feel at ease even when I was struggling with the material. I think you will benefit most from Michelle if you have a passion for learning, enjoy using acronyms and other memorization tools, and are willing to come prepared for each session with some problems or core concepts that you would like to review. I could not be more satisfied with Michelle’s teaching style, and I credit her with helping me excel in my second semester of organic chemistry. Anyone who is fortunate enough to become her student will undoubtedly feel the same way.

Amazing Organic Chemistry Tutor

Michelle is the best tutor I have ever had! I struggled a lot in Organic chemistry 2 in the beginning. I got a 66% on my first exam, but after receiving tutoring from Michelle, I got a 94% on my second exam and was able to finish the class with an A. She breaks down the concepts into simple steps and won't stop until you understand everything. She also made efficient use of our time. A 1 hour session with her is like attending a 3 hour lecture because of the amount of material she is able to cover. She tailors her teaching to what you need and will give you all the tools you need to succeed. Without her help I would not have been able to get an A. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs help in chemistry.

Amazing tutor!

Michelle is an amazing tutor. I would highly recommend her. She and I worked together for two semesters of organic chemistry during the 2020/2021 school year. If you've been hunting for the perfect organic chemistry tutor, look no further! Michelle is incredible, and knows organic chemistry like the back of her hand. Encouraging, Kindhearted, & Knowledgeable Tutor

Michelle is the reason why I love Organic Chemistry so much now! I used to be a student who despised this subject and dreaded taking ochem exams. But after working with Michelle, my outlook on organic chemistry has completely changed. Michelle is more than just an ochem tutor. She encourages me every step of the way, and I consider her a mentor now. I really look forward to our weekly sessions, because I know I will get to see her beaming face. She takes a really challenging course like organic chemistry and makes it very approachable and doable. In the beginning of my ochem journey, I used to memorize all the mechanisms, but Michelle helped me understand the content and come up with a system for each and every concept. After she teaches me a concept, she immediately quizzes me and has me do 5-6 problems to help me reinforce and apply the material. Michelle also helped me synthesize the material from ochem 1 into ochem 2. As she teaches you, she will help you understand the reasoning behind different concepts, and will help you draw connections between multiple reactions. This is super helpful because ochem builds on each topic, so when the final exam comes around, you won’t have to study that much because you will already learn how to synthesize all the material together. I saw an immediate change in my performance after working with Michelle, and I strongly recommend having her as your tutor! She is truly born to be a teacher, mentor, and an organic chemistry guru!

Organic Chemistry Tutoring With Michelle

This past semester I tried Wyzant for the first time. Michelle tutored me in Organic Chemistry and she was great. In the beginning, she taught me how to use the platform and was very patient with me adjusting to online tutoring. Michelle was extremely patient in general as I learned Organic Chemistry. She caught onto my learning style very quickly and was able to explain concepts that I had thought were so confusing when taught by my professor. Michelle never made me feel uncomfortable if I did not understand, and she was always ready to go back over a concept or explain it in a different way if it was not clicking. She had tons of her own materials and practice problems that she would send me before my quizzes and tests and she always checked in to see how I was doing!
