I have a strong educational background in digital media and animation, having studied at The Art Institute of Dallas and Richland College, where I focused on developing both creative and technical skills. I have also earned Adobe Certified Professional credentials in Digital Video, Motion Graphics, and Visual Design, which allow me to teach students industry-standard tools and workflows with confidence. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of how to translate complex technical concepts into lessons that are accessible and engaging for learners at all levels.

For several years, I have taught high school students in both classroom and one-on-one settings, primarily working with learners aged 14 to 18. In my current role teaching Animation 1, 2, and 3 at Sachse High School, I guide students from beginners learning the fundamentals of movement, timing, and storytelling to advanced learners preparing work for competitions such as the UIL Texas Young Filmmakers Festival and the Dallas International Film Festival. My approach combines structured lessons on animation principles with hands-on project work, giving students the opportunity to immediately apply what they learn and see their skills grow in real time.

I believe the most effective teaching comes from creating a supportive and interactive environment where students feel encouraged to explore their creativity. Whether working in small groups, providing one-on-one tutoring, or mentoring students on portfolio development, I tailor my instruction to each student’s needs. My goal is to help learners build confidence and mastery in animation and digital media, empowering them to express their ideas visually while developing technical skills that will serve them in both academic and professional contexts.
