I hold a strong academic background rooted in both education and pharmacy. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Education with a major in Kinesiology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. I graduated with highest honors, ranking in the top 4 of a class of over 200 students. I also hold an APhA certification in Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and a formal teaching certificate from the UTHSC College of Pharmacy, which has further strengthened my ability to effectively educate others.

Throughout my academic and professional career, I have consistently been involved in teaching and tutoring. During pharmacy school, I served as a tutor for both my peers and students in earlier class years, helping explain complex concepts in a clear and supportive way. I have also taught in the classroom at UTHSC College of Pharmacy and currently serve as a clinical preceptor, mentoring pharmacy students in a real-world setting each month. My clinical focus is in medical oncology and gerontology, but my teaching experience spans all major areas of pharmacy education.

I genuinely enjoy helping students build confidence in subjects they find challenging, and I believe in making learning engaging, supportive, and accessible. My tutoring approach focuses on breaking down difficult material into understandable parts while reinforcing key clinical applications. I am comfortable tutoring in all areas of pharmacology, pathophysiology, medicinal chemistry, and board preparation, and I strive to create a positive and motivating environment where students feel encouraged to succeed.
