Abbey has been an absolutely amazing tutor and one of the best teachers I’ve ever worked with! From the very first session, she made me feel comfortable and confident, even with the topics I used to struggle with most. Abbey is also really skilled with Desmos: she used it to visually show me how equations and graphs work, which made everything click so much faster than it ever did in class. Abbey is a quick communicator and very detailed at her job! I was hesitant with her price but after reading her reviews I decided to book a session. My son attends a boarding highschool for gifted children. He was never a great test taker. He took the SAT when he was 12yrs old and pretty much didn't increase his score once he started high school at 13 as a sophomore. He had a math tutor from the same website who helped explain math concepts but he was still staying pretty much at the same level. With the fall approaching quickly I wanted to make sure his SAT score matched his ability as close as possible. What sets Abbey apart from other tutors as it relates to SAT is that she is knowledgeable and organizes the student game plan! Verse just teaching what they got wrong during the test. During the first session Abbey was quickly able to identify some key strategies for my son. Additionally, Abbey mentioned that the best strategy for my son to increase his score would be to focus on English since his math was at a decent level already. We booked a total of 5 sessions with her. For the first time he was able to move away from where he plateau and closer to his target score. I wish my son would have started sooner with her. Abbey will now be in my backpack when my daughter goes through the SAT process. If you are looking to increase your child's score the investment in Abbey will get you there.
